Potomac Senior Hockey has been around a long time. It started way back in the 1970s at Fairfax County, Virginia's Mt Vernon Ice Rink. While it began as an over 35 years old skate, as our members matured, it became ice hockey for over 45 years old players, with players still playing as old as 80! The quality of hockey played by PSH is exce
Potomac Senior Hockey has been around a long time. It started way back in the 1970s at Fairfax County, Virginia's Mt Vernon Ice Rink. While it began as an over 35 years old skate, as our members matured, it became ice hockey for over 45 years old players, with players still playing as old as 80! The quality of hockey played by PSH is exceptional given the age of the participants - many of our players played in a variety of ice hockey leagues at the collegiate or prep school level, and most grew up playing ice hockey as children. As hockey continues to expand across North America, organizations like Potomac Senior Hockey not only give older guys from parts further north the opportunity to continue to play, its membership is increasingly represented by guys who spent their early ice-hockey experiences in parts that do not get a "real-winter".

The members of Potomac Senior Hockey have played as a group in Tournaments all over the world. The most significant of these tournaments is the annual GeriHatricks Tournament held every year in Laurel Maryland. Our guys have medaled in the 50s, 60s, and 70s groups and look forward to the next terrific tournament!
